Iīm not that convinced of the BMW boxers anymore, as gearbox problems are often to be heard with the new 4-valve oilheads.
The old F650 surely is a very good bike, yet shamelessly overpriced. For the new F650, IMHO itīs just ugly and the concept of electronic injection will make you bring the bike to the shop more often as you probably wouldnīt be able to do repairs where you could at least have been trying and fiddling around with your carb.
How about the Suzuki XF 650 Freewind? I know Suzuki doesnīt sell it in the US, but how about Canada? Do they have it there so you could buy it there? I rode the Freewind a couple of times (mostly my dealer gives me one when my Savage is in the shop for tune-up etc.)and was quite happy with it. Itīs very similar to the old F650 and way cheaper.
